Villa Shinta Dewi Ubud - Open relaxation spaces

One of the greatest advantages of staying in a villa is the personalised service provided by dedicated staff.  The professionally trained staff at both Shinta Dewi villas take delight in offering warm and friendly Balinese hospitality, and know when to be on hand to help, or invisible when not required.

Villa manager

Shinta Dewi’s highly competent and friendly manager is responsible for the overall operation of both villas, and oversees and coordinates the staff in Seminyak and Ubud.

Operations manager

Looks after the day-to-day running of the villa and is able to answer all your questions and respond to all your requests.

The villas’ skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.

A team of butlers is on hand to wait upon guests’ every need. Their duties also include daily housekeeping and domestic chores.

A gardener works discreetly to maintain Shinta Dewi’s gorgeous lush gardens and swimming pools both in Seminyak and Ubud.

Live-in villa staff provide security at the villas 24/7 and additional security guards are on duty throughout the night.

Guests at Villa Shinta Dewi in Seminyak and Ubud enjoy the benefit of their own chef, at the ready to prepare daily breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Dining works on a restaurant system with a priced menu offering a wide array of Western and Asian dishes available anytime of the day, whilst daily breakfast is included.

We recommend you to try some of the chef’s special Indonesian and Balinese dishes for a true cultural experience.  Vegetarian and children’s dishes are also included in the menu, and if you have any special dietary requirements, please feel free to ask the chef, who will strive to comply with all of your wishes.  Likewise, if you have any requests for a special feast such as seafood barbecue, the famous Balinese delicacy of babi guling (spit-roast pig) or roast duck, or even a birthday cake, you will simply need to consult with the chef up to one day beforehand and all will be taken care of.

The family friendly advantages of a villa holiday are many, including access to your own private facilities and the freedom to use them whenever you want.  Knowing that the kids can run around happily, independently and safely, without you having to worry about other guests, is a real plus – and one that means parents are certain to have a more relaxed holiday too.

The Shinta Dewi villas in both Seminyak and Ubud are great for families:  their large swimming pools are sure to be the focus of the kids’ day and, unusually for Bali, safety fences are available at the villas for families with younger children.  When its time to take a break from the sun, kids and adults alike will enjoy watching films on screens in all the bedrooms and in the villas’ many living areas.  The beach is just five minutes away from Shinta Dewi Seminyak, and there is plenty to occupy adventurous children just beyond the Ubud villa: rice field walks, batik classes and – a short drive away – rafting and elephant rides.

Shinta Dewi’s friendly staff will make children feel as welcome as adults, and having these willing helpers on hand gives guests plenty of flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).

Although the equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals for fussy eaters or babies with ease, staff will happily to do this for you – just talk through your requirements and meal schedules with the villa manager or chef and they will take care of the rest.  Baked beans for breakfast?  Chicken nuggets for tea?  No problem.  The chef can customise all meals to suit children’s taste buds.

Don’t worry about packing all that cumbersome kids’ equipment for your stay.  Just let us know what you need, and anything we don’t have in-house (villa facilities include a baby cot, highchair, baby bath and children’s cutlery and plates) we can hire on your behalf (click here to see list of available hire items).

And when the excitement of exploring the villa starts to wear off, check out our Things to do page – there’s plenty around both Seminyak and Ubud to keep all the family amused throughout the holiday.

With myriad world-class restaurants and cafés in Bali, you may be forgiven for piling on a few extra pounds.  Yet being on holiday doesn’t have to mean a halt to your fitness programme, as the Villas Shinta Dewi in Seminyak and Ubud both have gyms with high-spec equipment including treadmills, stationary bikes, and weights.

Within the separate massage room, guests may also enjoy a selection of spa treatments carried out by fully trained therapists from a reputable local spa (extra charges will apply).

Here’s a sample of what’s on the menu:

Balinese massage

Release built up tension with a traditional Balinese massage.  Using a combination of gentle stretches, acupressure and aromatherapy oils to stimulate the flow of blood, oxygen and energy around your body, you will feel totally relaxed in no time.

Foot reflexology

Foot reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part of the body.  Through application of pressure on these reflexes tension is relieved and circulation improved leaving you feeling balanced.

Our hands and feet work hard for us every day but rarely get the attention they deserve.  Treat them to a manicure or pedicure, which usually comes with the added bonus of a quick hand or foot massage.
